MINISTRY OF LIBERATION WAR AFFAIRS

1) Welfare of freedom fighters through implementation of schemes.
2) Matters relating to:

(a) Bangladesh Muktijoddah Kalyan Trust;
(b) Organisations of freedom fighters including Bgnaldesh Muktijoddah Sangsad;
(c) Mujib Nagar Smriti Shoudah Projects;
(d) Formulation of policies and projects for preservation of the history of War of Independence;
(e) Monuments relating to War of Independence including Swadhinata Stambha;
(f) Museums relating to War of Independence both in public and private sector;
(g) Allowances for freedom fighters and Grants in aid to freedom fighters, organisations;
(h) Preservation and maintenance of mass graves and mausoleums of freedom fighters;
(i) Other matter connected with War of Independence;

3) Training of freedom fighters in different trade at appropriate levels commensurate with the national requirements.
4) Monitoring quota of freedom fighters and their childerns for jobs in the Government autonomous and semi-aulonomous bodies.
5) Rules and instructions regarding privileges and facilities of freedom fithers.
6) Preparation and preservation of gazetted list of genuine freedom fighters.
7) Enquire into and resolve miscellaneous problems of freedom fighters.
8) Secretarial Administration including finanical matters.
9) Administration and control of subordinate officer and organisation under this Ministry.
10) Liaison with International Organisation and matter relating to treaties and agreements with other countries and world bodies relating to subjects allotted to this Ministry.
11) All laws on subjects allotted to this Ministry.
12) Inquiries and statistics on any of the subjects allotted to this Ministry.
13) Fees in respect of any of the subjects allotted to this Ministry except fees taken in courts.
